Fantastic summer gown. Great big full skirt which gathers up beautifully at the back and decorated with 3 velvet blows. Straps are also velvet. Masses of muslin underskirt (x2). Metal side zipper and also the underskirt hooks up at the waist. Probably cotton - the type that makes a lovely swishing noise as it moves. The dress needs to be cleaned and the boning in the bodice is cracked and needs to be either replaced or removed entirely. Other than that it's in great condition. A perfect summer ballgown. Label: Unsigned Year: c.1940s/50s Size: Bust 32" (probably a B cup), Waist 28", Length of skirt from waist to hem 39". Ref: 1021
