Sensational black gown. The front is taffeta and the back is velvet, the most soft and fluid velvet you can get. The hem is velvet covered piping and totally encircles the dress. There's a soft narrow taffeta belt. As you can see, the back has a deeper V than the front. The bodice is gathered at the front and the velvet is gathered at the waist at the back. The shoulder straps are velvet. The dress does up on the left side with tiny snap fasteners and hooks and eyes. There is a small pea-sized hole in the skirt towards the right hand side of the dress about 12" down from the waist - which could be easily hidden with, say, some little applique velvet flowers or the like - otherwise it's in very good condition.
